Dates : From the third of October till the twelfth.

Whereas the national holiday was taking place in all China from the first of october till the 8th, we were afraid that all the seats would be taken at the time we decided to book our train ticket. But we managed to find two seats for a 24 hours journey to Xīníng. These crazy Chinese even sell standing tickets for the whole 24h trip. So we were surrounded by people standing and sitting, trying to sleep wherever they could in the wagon. Long journey…

Our destination was not entirely scheduled but the idea was to go as close as we could to the independent Tibet.

We started from the Beijing Railway Station. For information, an estimated 28 million Chinese travel during this holiday week. I’ll let you imagine how fucked up it is in the subway and train stations.
